Alaska Army National Guard seeks wetland surveys at three aviation sites

The Alaska Department of Military and Veterans Affairs is soliciting proposals for wetland delineation surveys at three Alaska Army National Guard aviation facilities across the state. A wetland delineation maps the boundary of regulated wetlands on a site.

The project at the Kotzebue Army Aviation Operating Facility covers about 1.7 acres. The project at the Bethel Readiness Center and Army Aviation Operating Facility covers about 11 acres. The project at the Nome Army Aviation Operating Facility covers about 4.57 acres. The Bethel and Nome notices are Amendment 1 postings issued for informational purposes only.

The Kotzebue deadline is 2 p.m. Alaska time. The posted notices are cut off before the full deadline dates. Nicole Warner, the department's water resources program manager, is listed as the DMVA project point of contact.

The three sites span distinct regions of rural Alaska: the Northwest Arctic around Kotzebue, the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta around Bethel, and the Bering Strait region around Nome.
