Three Alaska National Guard wetland surveys go out to bid, with proposals due Sept. 21

Proposals on all three are due 2 p.m. Alaska time Sept. 21 for wetland delineation surveys at Alaska Army National Guard aviation facilities, solicited by the state Department of Military and Veterans Affairs. A wetland delineation maps the boundary of regulated wetlands on a site.

The surveys would support a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers determination of which ground falls under Clean Water Act permitting.

The projects cover about 1.7 acres at the Kotzebue Army Aviation Operating Facility, 11 acres at the Bethel Readiness Center and Army Aviation Operating Facility, and 4.57 acres at the Nome Army Aviation Operating Facility.
