The special city council meeting of September 30th, 2026 will now come to order. This meeting is open to the public. For those who are listening, meeting agendas and packets are available online on the City of Kodiak's website. Public members are encouraged to web stream from the city's website portal. Audience and council members, please silence your phones, and council members, please put your phones away for the duration of the meeting.

Mr. Walker. Here. The quorum is present, Mr. Mayor. Thank you. The first agenda item under persons to be heard is public comments.
Comments will be limited to 3 minutes. If there is anyone who wishes to address the mayor and council as a whole, please approach the podium, sign in, and state your name, or call at 907-486-8658 And due to the slight delay in broadcasting, I will be pausing for a moment to allow some time for public members to call in.
Hearing none, the next agenda item is a potential claim involving a former employee in executive session. May I have a motion to enter into executive session?

Move to enter into executive session pursuant to KCC 2 4 TAC 100C to discuss legal matters with the city attorney. Second.

Does anyone wish to change their vote? Motion passes. Mr. Thank you. We will now enter into executive session with the interim city manager, deputy city manager, city attorney, HR director, and city clerk.
