Merbok Road Repairs Begin

Permanent repairs have begun on three Merbok-damaged stretches of the Nome-Council Highway, four years after the storm, with pilot cars guiding traffic. The three federal grants total $2,417,398 and run through April 2028, and four further awards bring permanent repairs on the road to about $6.5 million.
