From the transcript

Eric had requested an open meeting to discuss the rationale and the specifics of the lawsuit in two prior city council meetings in July, but did not receive a response from the administration regarding these requests. It appears the city attorney may be responding with a memorandum, and it appears she may be uncomfortable sharing information by continuing citing attorney-client privilege policies. It is perplexing to witness that this city business information has not been fully disclosed with the council at this point. The city attorney and city manager have no legal authority over what information can be shared in this lawsuit. This lawsuit was initiated with allegations that Eric was in the process of building a structure, and it included an old build permit application which had been denied early that year.
