In that spirit, we're also marking up Senator Sanders' Childhood Diabetes Reduction Act. This bill increases transparency for families around ultra-processed food and restricts targeting of junk food ads towards kids. I don't think it's a perfect bill, but it's a starting bill for bipartisan changes we need to make to how food is regulated and allows us to have a productive markup today. I'll continue to work on other initiatives in this space, including the need for a national uniform standard for food regulations than rather— rather than a patchwork of widely different state laws. And I appreciate the ranking member's bipartisan engagement.
