OSTP Director Michael Kratsios announced more than $5 billion in federal commitments to the Genesis Mission AI-for-science initiative Wednesday, while Democrats on the House Science Committee pressed him on NSF data showing 55% fewer grants awarded and alleged unauthorized diversion of directorate funds.
