There would be very few options for the board to adopt a balanced budget that wouldn't require reducing educator positions, and I don't feel that our community is in a good headspace to accept that reality. So I want to do whatever I can to try to protect as many educators as possible. So we only had the final budget number, um, confirmed by the State Department of Revenue yesterday, so we're very early in this conversation, but these next few weeks will be very important, and I look forward to conversations with board members, and of course I'm always willing and able to meet individually with you as you brainstorm ways to take this proposal from where it is now and where it needs to be by the time you approve it. So with that said, we will be launching ASD Listens later this month with the launch of our survey on September 8th, and this flash poll is just one of several things I hope to try to add new ways to add in community perspectives, to try to get community voice in the conversation before the decision has been made. Um, there's still work to be done, but I hope the community knows that we're trying to make a step in the right direction.
