Soldotna man, 33, dies after being found unresponsive in Sterling garage
A Soldotna man died and a second adult was hospitalized after a 911 caller reported both were unresponsive in a Sterling-area garage Saturday evening, Alaska State Troopers said.
Troopers identified the man who died as Keaton Hutchings, 33. The other adult was taken to a Kenai Peninsula area hospital with injuries troopers described as non-life-threatening. Troopers have not said what caused Hutchings' death.
Troopers received the 911 call at about 6:15 pm on Oct. 3, according to the Department of Public Safety daily dispatch. Troopers and first responders went to the home and began lifesaving efforts. Hutchings was declared dead at the scene.
Troopers said they do not suspect foul play. Hutchings' body has been sent to the State Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy. Next of kin have been notified.
