PFD Division sets Aug. 31 deadline for address and banking changes
Alaskans who have moved or changed bank accounts must submit those changes to the Permanent Fund Dividend Division by Monday, Aug. 31, 2026, or risk a delayed October payment.
The division posted the deadline on its website. "If you have moved or changed your banking information, please submit those changes to the PFD Division no later than Monday, August 31, 2026, to guarantee it is updated prior to mass payments in October," the notice said.
Applicants who filed with a myAlaska account can make the change through myPFD, which sends a multifactor authentication code to the phone number on the account. Others must print and submit the Address Change form or the Payment Method form. The division does not accept address or direct deposit changes by phone or email.
Two earlier payment rounds come first. Applications from 2025 and prior years marked "Eligible-Not Paid" on Aug. 12 will be paid Aug. 20. Those still in that status on Sept. 2 will be paid Sept. 10. The 2025 dividend amount is $1,000.
The division also confirmed a fraudulent email is circulating with the subject line "IMPORTANT TAX INFORMATION." The links in it do not lead back to the PFD website. The division advises recipients not to click the links, to check the sender's email domain and to hover over links before opening them. Applicants with questions can contact the division directly.
Separately, myAlaska users have reported phishing texts asking them to change their passwords. myAlaska does not send text messages or emails asking users to change their passwords.
