Minto Nenana Fish & Game Committee to discuss Yukon salmon proposals

The Minto Nenana Fish and Game Advisory Committee will meet April 29 at 6:00 pm to discuss urgent proposals on Yukon River salmon stocks and submit comments to the Board of Fisheries by the April 30 deadline.

The committee will review three proposals scheduled for a Board of Fisheries special meeting May 1. The proposals address traditional knowledge reports and action plans for Yukon River Chinook salmon and fall chum salmon, both stocks of concern. The committee must submit its recommendations by April 30.

The meeting will also cover submitting proposals to the Board of Game for the 2026-2027 cycle, with a May 1 deadline. Alaska Department of Fish and Game staff will provide updates on fisheries and wildlife management in the region.
