Interior awards Juneau's Goldbelt $4.7 million for National Guard office renovation in Virginia

The Department of the Interior awarded $4,711,037 to Goldbelt Government Services, LLC to renovate the 2W office floor at the Temple Arlington Hall Readiness Center, at the National Guard Bureau on South George Mason Drive in Arlington, Virginia. Interior bought it for the Army. The award runs Sept. 22, 2026 through Dec. 22, 2027. A day earlier, Interior issued the firm $513,798 to renovate General Martinez's office in the same building, through March 21, 2027.

Neither was set aside for a small or minority-owned business. The larger was not competed, on statutory authority; the smaller was, under simplified procedures. Each drew one offer.

Both postings list the recipient location as Juneau. Goldbelt Government Services is a subsidiary of Goldbelt, Incorporated, the Alaska Native corporation for Juneau, which reports more than 4,000 shareholders. None of the renovation work occurs in the state.

A Goldbelt marketing document records a $2.3 million renovation in the same building in December 2023.

The awards follow an $11.5 million Bureau of Prisons electrical upgrade at the federal penitentiary in Marion, Ill., and a $5.4 million General Services Administration repair contract booked to the same Juneau address this summer.
