Public Objection Period for Einstein Labs Marijuana Cultivation Facility License Renewal
About this event
The Alaska Alcohol & Marijuana Control Office (AMCO) has deemed the renewal application for Einstein Enterprises, Inc., doing business as Einstein Labs, to be complete. The facility, located at 2939 Porcupine Dr., Suite B, in Anchorage, holds a Standard Marijuana Cultivation Facility license (number 10080). The designated licensee is Kenneth Knight.
The application has been forwarded to the Municipality of Anchorage and the Mountain View Community Council for review. Under 3 AAC 306.060, the local government has 60 days from the notice date of September 3, 2026, to file a formal protest against the renewal. If a protest is filed, the Marijuana Control Board is required to review the application unless the protest is found to be arbitrary, capricious, or unreasonable.
While the Marijuana Control Board previously delegated authority to the AMCO Director to approve renewals, the board retains the authority to consider this application independently if there are outstanding notices of violation, local government protests, or public objections filed within 30 days. Upon final approval, the 2026/2027 license will be issued during an annual inspection or mailed to the establishment.
