Marijuana Control Board Special Meeting

The Alaska Marijuana Control Board (MCB) has scheduled a special meeting for September 22, 2026, to be held exclusively via Zoom. The meeting will commence at 9:00 am and will include a roll call of board members and AMCO staff, followed by an approval of the agenda and a review of the board's code of conduct. The primary focus of the meeting is board governance and a comprehensive review of AO360 regulations. The board is slated to discuss several regulatory projects, including packaging and labeling, inventory tracking systems, business record requirements, and marijuana tax penalty fees for delinquent payments. Additional discussion items include advertising and marketing regulations (3 AAC 306.770), causes for license denial (3 AAC 306.080), and definitions regarding plant maturity. The board will also address the conduct of board meetings and the refusal to sell marijuana. The meeting will conclude with board comments and the announcement of the next regular meeting, scheduled for November 18–19, 2026, in Anchorage.
