Marijuana Control Board Meeting - SupHerb Disciplinary Action Hearing

The Alcohol and Marijuana Control Office (AMCO) has recommended disciplinary action against Christine Williams, doing business as Supherb, for violations at her retail marijuana store (License 23652) and standard marijuana cultivation facility (License 23653). The recommendations follow an inspection on January 2, 2026, which revealed significant discrepancies in METRC inventory tracking and sales reporting. AMCO alleges that the licensee failed to properly track 22 plant batches and exceeded daily sales limits for 124 transactions. In response, legal counsel for Supherb argued that the violations were the result of operational disruptions caused by a near-fatal medical emergency involving a key operator in December 2025, as well as limitations with their Square point-of-sale system. The licensee contends that the issues were administrative in nature, involving delayed data entry rather than intentional diversion or unlawful sales, and that they have since implemented corrective measures, including a transition to a new POS system. AMCO Director Kevin Richard recommended a total fine of $4,950 for the cultivation facility (with $3,000 suspended) and $13,200 for the retail store (with $10,000 suspended), alongside 18-month probation periods for both licenses. The Marijuana Control Board is tasked with reviewing these recommendations, which were discussed during an informal conference held on May 20, 2026.
