Local Government Protest Deadline for Vital Gardens LLC Marijuana License Renewal

The Alaska Alcohol & Marijuana Control Office (AMCO) has officially notified Vital Gardens LLC that its renewal application for a Limited Marijuana Cultivation Facility license (#13503) has been deemed complete. The facility is located at 10263 Nigh Road, #7, in Anchorage, with Zakary Kessler listed as the designated licensee.
Following the determination of completeness, the application has been forwarded to the Municipality of Anchorage and the Bayshore & Klatt Community Council for review. Under 3 AAC 306.060, the local government has 60 days from the notice date of July 20, 2026, to file a formal protest against the renewal.
While the Marijuana Control Board delegated authority to the AMCO Director to approve renewals in 2017, the board retains the authority to review this application independently if there are outstanding notices of violation, local government protests, or public objections filed within 30 days. If the application proceeds without such issues, the 2026/2027 license will be issued during the annual inspection or mailed to the licensee.
