Local Government Protest Deadline for AK Legend Gardens Marijuana License Renewal

The Alaska Alcohol & Marijuana Control Office (AMCO) has officially notified AK Legend LLC, doing business as AK Legend Gardens, that their renewal application for a Standard Marijuana Cultivation Facility license (#32367) has been deemed complete. The facility is located at 7750 King St, Anchorage, with Jered Buss listed as the designated licensee.
Following this determination, the application has been forwarded to the Municipality of Anchorage and the Taku Campbell Community Council for review. Under 3 AAC 306.060, the local government has 60 days from the July 13, 2026, notice date to file a formal protest against the renewal. If a protest is filed, the Marijuana Control Board is required to review the application, unless the protest is found to be arbitrary, capricious, or unreasonable.
While the AMCO Director has delegated authority to approve renewals, the Marijuana Control Board will intervene if there are outstanding notices of violation, local government protests, or public objections filed within 30 days. If approved, the 2026/2027 license will be issued during an annual inspection or mailed to the licensee.
