Federal Moose Hunting Closure Expires (Interior Rivers, Unit 25D)

Emergency closure of federal land along six Interior river corridors (Yukon, Birch Creek, Sheenjek, Porcupine, Black, and Chandalar rivers) to moose hunting for non-federally qualified users expires on this date. The 10-mile to 5-mile corridor restrictions covering approximately 1,300 square miles in Unit 25D remainder were approved by the Federal Subsistence Board on September 3, 2026.
