Fairbanks North Star Borough — Parks and Recreation Commission

The Fairbanks Parks and Recreation Commission will meet on September 21, 2026, at the Mona Lisa Drexler Assembly Chambers. The agenda includes the approval of minutes from the June 15, 2026, meeting and reports from Parks and Recreation Director Matthew Boyer and Recreation Parks Manager Evan Williams regarding Chena Lakes Recreation Area operations and Capital Improvement Program (CIP) projects. New business focuses on authorizing letters of support for various grant applications. The commission will consider supporting an Outdoor Recreation Legacy Program grant for artificial turf and access improvements.
