BAM Alaska Notice of Violation Response Deadline

About this event

This document contains a series of Notices of Violation (NOVs) issued by the Alaska Alcohol and Marijuana Control Office (AMCO) to several licensed marijuana cultivation facilities between October 2024 and January 2025. The violations primarily concern failures to maintain proper plant inventory tracking (METRC) and odor control requirements as mandated by state regulations 3 AAC 306.435 and 3 AAC 306.430. Specific facilities cited include Arctic Earth, Alaskasense, Tip Top Cannabis, BAM Alaska, Tundra Farms, Dope Dynasty, and Candid Farms. The violations range from having hundreds of untagged plants to failing to prevent marijuana odors from being detectable by the public outside the facility premises. In several instances, licensees provided written responses acknowledging the lapses, citing issues such as harvesting processes, equipment failure, or delays in receiving tracking tags, and outlining corrective measures taken to return to compliance. The document serves as a public record of enforcement actions and the subsequent remedial steps taken by the affected businesses. Licensees were informed of their rights to contest the violations, request informal conferences with the director, or appeal to the Marijuana Control Board.
