The Alaska Railroad Corporation (ARRC) has issued a Request for Quotes (RFQ 26-31-214852) for contractor support to install fencing within its Right-Of-Way. The project area is located between Seward Highway Mileposts 90 and 99, corresponding to ARRC Mileposts 74.7 through 84. The primary objective of the fencing project is to prevent unauthorized trespassing from the turnout locations onto the railroad tracks leading to the Bird-to-Gird Trail. The ARRC is seeking qualified contractors to perform this work. Interested parties must submit their quotes no later than 3:00 PM local time on September 22, 2026. A non-mandatory site visit has been scheduled for September 15, 2026, at 11:00 AM to allow potential bidders to inspect the project locations.
