APDES Preliminary Draft Permit Public Comment Period

The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has prepared a preliminary draft Alaska Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (APDES) permit for the Juneau-Douglas Wastewater Treatment Facility, identified by permit number AK0023213. This document initiates a mandatory 10-day review period specifically for the applicant. Following the conclusion of this initial review, the DEC will proceed to develop a formal draft permit and accompanying fact sheet. Once the formal draft is prepared, the project will enter a 30-day public review period. During this subsequent phase, the DEC will accept public comments regarding the proposed discharge permit to waters of the United States.
