APDES Preliminary Draft Permit Public Comment Period

The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has issued a preliminary draft permit, identified as AK0023451, for the City of Fairbanks and Golden Heart Utilities, Inc. wastewater treatment facility. This document initiates a mandatory 10-day review period specifically for the applicant. Following the conclusion of this 10-day applicant review, the DEC will finalize a draft permit and an accompanying fact sheet. These documents will then be released for a formal 30-day public comment period, during which the agency will accept feedback from the public.
