DOT&PF proposes aeronautical boundary crossing permit at McGrath Airport

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities has proposed issuing a boundary crossing permit to Joaquin Investments, Inc. for Parcel F along the northernmost boundary of McGrath Airport, parallel to taxiway B. The proposal was published as an official DOT&PF public notice.

The permit would be issued under Alaska Administrative Code 17 AAC 45.285, the regulatory authority DOT&PF uses for boundary crossing permits at Alaska airports statewide. The annual fee is $2,704.46 plus any other associated fees. The notice lists the authorized use as "Aeronautical Boundary Crossing."

The public comment deadline passed at 4:30 p.m. on February 14, 2025. DOT&PF stated it would determine whether to execute the permit after reviewing written comments. It is not known from available public records whether the department has since issued a final decision.
