Dirt bike rider hurt in North Pole collision at Planters Lane and Hurst Road

A dirt bike rider suffered minor injuries after colliding with a car at the intersection of Planters Lane and Hurst Road in North Pole, according to the Alaska State Troopers.

The rider was treated at the scene and was not taken to the hospital. The driver of the car was not hurt.

Troopers said the cause of the crash is under investigation. The D Detachment logged the incident as case number AK26073170.

No charges have been announced in the North Pole crash.

A Familiar Stretch of Road

Hurst Road has drawn trooper response before. Alaska News previously covered a multi-vehicle crash at Hurst and Nelson roads on January 16. All occupants were taken to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital.

A Wider Pattern

Interior crashes involving two-wheeled vehicles have accumulated this month. An Alaska News article on the Fairbanks intersection of Geist Road and Loftus Road reported that a motorcyclist died there on July 25. That D Detachment investigation remains open.
