ATF awards Anchorage's Bering Global Solutions a $5.3 million two-year supply contract

Anchorage-based Bering Global Solutions, LLC will run a federal supply and distribution operation for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives for two years under a $5.31 million contract, according to a federal award posting.

The company, headquartered at 3301 C Street, holds contract ID 15A00026FAQ000183, covering a distribution supply and service center for the ATF Acquisition and Property Management Division. The work runs Sept. 4, 2026, through Aug. 31, 2028. The record places that work in Brunswick, Georgia, not in Alaska.

The money flows through an indefinite delivery contract vehicle ATF awarded the company in August 2023 with a ceiling of about $34.7 million. Such a vehicle sets a spending limit and lets the agency order work against it as needed. Fifty-two orders have been placed so far and have obligated about $28.3 million, or 81% of the ceiling, money committed rather than yet spent. Fifty of those orders have been performed in Anchorage, including one for $8.74 million placed a week before this one. This contract is one of only two that have not.

ATF awarded the 2023 vehicle as an 8(a) competed set-aside, reserving the work for disadvantaged small businesses and then taking bids among them. Five firms bid. Alaska News previously covered the Government Accountability Office's denial of incumbent Aurora Industries' protest.

Bering Global Solutions is a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, described by its parent as an "SBA approved Small Disadvantaged Business and 8(a) certified contractor." Federal records list the company with more than 200 prime contracts across nine agencies.

The company's 8(a) certification, entered in October 2017, expires Oct. 17, 2026, roughly six weeks into the new contract period.
