
APIA hiring two paid employment-services interns in Anchorage and Sand Point
The Aleutian Pribilof Islands Association is hiring for two paid internships, one based in Anchorage and one in Sand Point, paying $20.34 to $22.89 an hour.
Each position runs three months and may be extended by mutual agreement, at up to 37.5 hours a week.
The positions sit inside APIA's ETR/477 employment and training program and report to the ETR/477 administrator. The intern assists with participant meetings, employment planning, case note documentation and database entry, serving Alaska Native and American Indian tribal members.
Applicants must be high school graduates or hold the equivalent. Preference goes to those pursuing or holding a Certificate in Rural Human Services, an associate degree in social work, or a credential in a related field. A valid Alaska driver's license is preferred, and applicants need basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry. HIPAA compliance and background clearance are required. Travel within the Aleutian and Pribilof Islands region may be requested one to two times a year.
