An Anchorage firm will repair the State Department's headquarters

An Anchorage firm is about to start patching up one of Washington's most prominent addresses — the State Department's headquarters. CCI Facility Contractors, an Alaska Native-owned company, won a $2.49 million federal order this month for emergency facade repairs at the Harry S. Truman Building, the department's D.C. home.

It's one of three federal building-repair jobs CCI has landed since late July, all outside Alaska and together worth about $3.6 million. The others are stone repair at a federal site in Washington and an overhang replacement at a federal building in Manchester, New Hampshire.

The work comes through a governmentwide construction contract CCI has held since 2022. Each of the three orders drew a single bid — CCI's. The firm is part of Bristol Bay Construction Holdings, owned by the Bristol Bay Native Corporation, and is registered as an Alaska Native corporation firm in the federal 8(a) program for disadvantaged businesses — the pathway that lets an Anchorage company win repair work thousands of miles away.
