Alyeska seeks 75,000 cubic yards of gravel from North Slope river floodplain; comment deadline is July 26

Alaska's State Pipeline Coordinator's Section intends to issue Alyeska Pipeline Service Company a contract to extract gravel from the floodplain of the Sagavanirktok River on the North Slope. Public comments on the notice are due July 26.

The material sale contract, ADL 422900, would allow Alyeska to remove 75,000 cubic yards of gravel near Dalton Highway Milepost 374, about 42 miles south of Pump Station 1 in Deadhorse. The action is being taken under the State Pipeline Coordinator's Section and is subject to Alaska statute AS 38.05.555.
