April 5, 2025 Special Assembly Meeting

Oops, sorry, I'll talk on the mic this time. Bring us to order for a special assembly meeting, uh, for April 5th, 2025. Um, Ms. Wall, would you do a land acknowledgement, please?

Thank you, Madam Mayor. We would like to acknowledge that the city of Juneau is on Tlingit land and wish to honor the indigenous peoples of this land. For more than 10,000 years, Alaska Native people have been and continue to be integral to the well-being of our community. We're grateful to be in this place, a part of this community, and to honor the culture, traditions, and resilience of the Tlingit people. Gunalchéesh.

Thank you. Um, Adam Manager, do you have any requests for agenda changes? No. So we'll consider our agenda approved with no changes. Um, any public participation on non-agenda items, Madam Clerk?

Thank you, Madam Mayor. Um, my apologies, I did not do a sign-up sheet, but if anyone is in the audience that wish to speak on public participation on non- agenda items, this is the opportunity to do so. We did not have anyone pre-registered to participate via Zoom by yesterday's deadline. Anyone in the audience wish to speak? Okay, I see no one rushing forward.

So with that, we will go to the consent agenda. Is there any public requests for consent agenda changes other than ordinances for instruction? For introduction? Seeing none, is there any assembly request for consent agenda changes? Seeing none, uh, assembly action.

Mr. Smith. Thank you, Madam Mayor. I move the consent agenda as shown and ask for unanimous consent. Any objection? Seeing none, the, uh, consent agenda is approved.
