It would have brought mental health professionals from across Alaska, nationally, collectively to develop guidelines for developmentally appropriate instruction in mental health. Again, their work would develop guidelines that would be included in the current health curriculum that teachers could use to educate students about mental health, how to recognize challenges they may be facing, and where to turn for support when they need it.
