Yakutat Fish and Game Advisory Committee meets May 13

The Yakutat Fish and Game Advisory Committee will hold a public meeting May 13 at 5 p.m. in the Yak-Tat Kwaan Conference Room at the U.S. Forest Service building in Yakutat.

The committee will discuss federal subsistence regulations, board seat elections, and upcoming proposals on set net fishing, migratory bird hunting, and sportfishing catch and release rules. Members will also hear from Nate Catterson, Yakutat District Ranger, and Susan Oehlers, wildlife biologist for the Yakutat Ranger District.

Advisory committees are local groups that develop regulatory proposals and make recommendations to the Alaska Board of Fisheries and Alaska Board of Game. All meetings are open to the public.
