Two teenagers died Tuesday evening when their dirt bikes collided near mile 24.5 of the Hollis Highway outside Hollis, on Prince of Wales Island.
Alaska State Troopers identified the victims as Greyer Schwegel, 18, and Paul Lingley IV, 17. Troopers received the call at approximately 7:21 p.m. and found both riders at the scene. The two were riding dirt bikes when they collided head-on. Despite lifesaving efforts, both were pronounced dead at the scene. Next of kin have been notified.
