Tuntutuliak man charged with sexual assault, furnishing alcohol to minor

A Tuntutuliak man faces four charges, including sexual assault and furnishing alcohol to a minor in a dry village, after Alaska State Troopers arrested him June 12 following a preliminary investigation.

The man, identified by troopers as Jared Enoch, 24, faces charges of Sexual Assault I, Sexual Assault II, Sexual Abuse of a Minor II, and Furnishing Alcohol to a Minor in a Dry Village. Troopers received the initial report June 11. "Investigation determined that 24-year-old Jared Enoch had provided alcohol to a teenager and then sexually assaulted the juvenile," troopers said. Furnishing alcohol to a minor in a dry village is a separate criminal offense under Alaska law, distinct from the sexual assault and sexual abuse charges.

Enoch is being held at Yukon Kuskokwim Correctional Center. All charges are accusations. He is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
