TCC names Doreen Joseph Director of Tribal Priorities Advancement
Tanana Chiefs Conference appointed Doreen Joseph as its Director of Tribal Priorities Advancement on June 30, naming her to a dedicated leadership role to advance the priorities of TCC's member tribes across Interior Alaska.
Joseph is a tribal member of Beaver and brings more than 30 years of experience with Interior Alaska tribal organizations. Her prior roles span the Fairbanks Native Association, Tanana Chiefs Conference, and Beaver Kwit'chin Corporation. TCC said her background in tribal governance, community engagement, and organizational operations will help support TCC's efforts to advance the priorities of its member tribes.
In the new role, Joseph will work closely with tribal leaders, communities, and TCC programs to strengthen tribal initiatives and advance strategic priorities. TCC also announced separate appointments the same day: Joy Huntington as Government Affairs Director and a new leadership structure for Health Services, with two executive director positions filled.
TCC announced the appointment in a June 30 news post and had also introduced Joseph through its TCC Weekly program. "Doreen is a Tribal member of Beaver and brings extensive experience working alongside Tribes, Tribal leaders, Fairbanks Native Association, Tanana Chiefs Conference, and Beaver Kwit'chin Corporation," the organization said.
TCC welcomed Joseph back to the organization, noting her prior connection to TCC among the leadership and administrative roles she has held throughout her career. Joseph transitions into the position full-time on Aug. 3.
