Southcentral Foundation hosts Traditional Foods Gathering July 27-28 in Anchorage

Southcentral Foundation is hosting a free two-day Traditional Foods Gathering, with in-person spots limited to 150 on a first-come basis. The event is open to people who work with food sovereignty, traditional foods, or diet-related health in Alaska Native communities. A virtual option is available for those who cannot attend in person.

The gathering is described as an opportunity to come together as an Indigenous community to celebrate the ways Alaska Native and American Indian people have built relationships with plants and animals throughout the land, sea, and sky.

The event runs from 8:30 a.m. July 27 through 5 p.m. July 28 at 4501 Diplomacy Drive in Anchorage. Registration is free at redcap.link/2026TFG.

Attendees will hear from guest presenters and take part in workshops, breakout sessions, and activities. Lunch is provided.
