Soldotna man charged with 2019 sexual abuse of a minor after Utah confession

A Soldotna-area man faces a charge of sexually abusing a minor in 2019, about seven years after the alleged offense and roughly 16 months after troopers opened the case.

Jonas Perletti, 31, was charged July 10, 2026, with one count of Sexual Abuse of a Minor in the Third Degree. "On February 26, 2025, Alaska State Troopers in Soldotna received a report of historic sexual abuse," troopers said, describing alleged conduct that occurred in the Soldotna area in 2019. The Alaska Bureau of Investigation opened the case after that report.

Perletti had moved to Utah by the time investigators identified him. Troopers contacted him there and he confessed. "During the sexual abuse investigation, Perletti was contacted and confessed to the abuse," troopers said in the Friday dispatch.

Troopers noted that charges are accusations and that Perletti is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
