Sitka man arrested on 10 CSAM counts after Task Force Dawnbreaker probe

A Sitka man faces ten counts of possessing and distributing child sexual abuse material after Task Force Dawnbreaker arrested him June 24 following an investigation into an online account where material was allegedly being uploaded and stored.

George McIntyre, 46, is held at Sitka Jail without bail. The charges are accusations; McIntyre is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

The investigation opened June 17 after the task force received multiple reports of CSAM being uploaded and stored in an online account. Investigators identified McIntyre as the account user and arrested him without incident seven days later.

Three agencies assisted Task Force Dawnbreaker: the Alaska Department of Public Safety Training Academy, the Sitka Police Department, and the Anchorage Police Department.
