Public input sought on Cook Inlet salmon hatchery programs

The Alaska Department of Fish and Game is seeking public input on salmon hatchery programs in the Cook Inlet region during a meeting Wednesday, April 22nd at 10:00 a.m.

The Cook Inlet Regional Planning Team will review the Cook Inlet Regional Aquaculture Association's annual management plans, which guide salmon enhancement activities throughout the region. The team will also consider one permit alteration request and updates to field projects planned through 2026.

Regional Planning Teams advise the Fish and Game commissioner on salmon fishery enhancement programs. Each six-member team includes three state biologists and three representatives from local fishing interests.

The meeting will be held at the Cook Inlet Regional Aquaculture Association Conference Room, 40610 Kalifornsky Beach Road in Kenai, with a virtual attendance option available. The meeting is open to the public and public participation is encouraged.
