BSNC descendant Daletas promoted to Vice President of Operations

Bering Straits Native Corporation promoted shareholder Brittany Daletas to Vice President of Operations, placing a Nome native into a new senior leadership role at the corporation.

Daletas will lead operational improvement, strengthen cross-functional alignment, support strategic initiatives, and help build scalable growth structures across BSNC. The corporation said she values "being part of an organization whose mission is bigger than business alone" and noted that she appreciates the opportunity to contribute to meaningful work that supports shareholders and the Bering Straits region, as well as the sense of purpose, collaboration, and commitment across the company.

She brings more than 14 years of experience in business performance and operational leadership, according to her LinkedIn profile. Her credentials include a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Alaska Anchorage, a Master of Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M, and an Executive Leadership Certificate from the Public Relations Society of America.

The promotion reflects a wider pattern among Alaska Native corporations of elevating shareholder and descendant talent into executive roles. Daletas is the daughter of Martin Brown and Janette (Komakhuk) Brown of Nome and the granddaughter of Ethel and Sam Komakhuk and Wayne Brown and Vicki McPherson.
