Koyukuk River Fish and Game Advisory Committee meets April 17

The Koyukuk River Fish and Game Advisory Committee will meet Friday, April 17, 2026, at 10 a.m. by web and teleconference to discuss hunting and fishing issues in the region.

The agenda includes updates from Alaska Department of Fish and Game staff, a University of Alaska Fairbanks study on hunter ammunition use in Alaska, and the Board of Game's 2026-2027 call for proposals. The proposal deadline is May 1, 2026.

The committee will also address other fisheries, wildlife, and committee business as needed.

Advisory committees are local groups that meet to discuss fishing and wildlife issues and provide recommendations to the Alaska Board of Fisheries and Alaska Board of Game. Their purpose includes developing regulatory proposals, evaluating proposals, providing a local forum on fish and wildlife conservation, and cooperating with interested persons and organizations.
