Homer council to set cost shares for South Slope Drive sewer district Monday
Homer property owners along South Slope Drive will find out Monday how much they owe for planned sewer improvements. The Homer City Council takes up Resolution 26-054 at its regular meeting Monday, Aug. 24, at 6 p.m. in the Cowles Council Chambers at Homer City Hall.
The resolution confirms that enough owners signed a petition to form the South Slope Drive Sewer Improvement Special Assessment District. It also approves the improvement plan, the estimated cost of the work, and the assessment methodology, the formula that sets how much each parcel owes. The agenda itself does not list the cost estimate or the methodology. Those figures appear in Memorandum CC-26-160 from the city clerk.
Owners petitioned for the district and attended a May 27 public meeting on the proposal. No owner comments were available for this article.
Resolution 26-054 is the fifth of six public hearing items on Monday's agenda.
