Federal judge denies emergency order against Alaska Housing Finance Corporation

A federal judge has denied emergency relief against the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation, while granting the plaintiff's motion for expedited consideration.

Chief U.S. District Judge Sharon L. Gleason denied plaintiff Fulton-Wiley's motion for a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction on July 8, 2026, while separately granting his motion for expedited consideration. "Mr. Fulton-Wiley's Motion for Temporary Restraining Order and Preliminary Injunction at Docket 4 is DENIED," Gleason wrote.

The denial does not resolve the underlying claims in the lawsuit, which continues to move forward. AHFC runs all public housing in Alaska in addition to its housing finance functions statewide.
