Fairbanks-Delta schedule lists proposed timber sales through 2030

State foresters have set where logging could be proposed in the Fairbanks-Delta area through fiscal year 2030. The Division of Forestry and Fire Protection adopted the final 2026-2030 Fairbanks-Delta Five-Year Schedule of Timber Sales, mapping potential sale areas on the Tanana Valley State Forest and other state land. The schedule is required under AS 38.05.113.

The division concluded public comment and agency review before issuing the final schedule.

Adopting the schedule does not approve any individual harvest. Each sale still needs its own Best Interest Finding and Forest Land Use Plan, and each will undergo its own review and potential public comment.

Under state law, the division generally cannot offer a sale unless it appeared on one of the two preceding five-year schedules. Sales of 160 acres or less are exempt from that requirement.
