Fishing Report     Andrew Gryska, Area Management Biologist (907) 459-7339, [email protected]   Tanana Fishing Report June 04, 2026 Local conditions * Smaller lakes and ponds around Fairbanks and Delta Junction are open and in the process of being stocked. Harding Lake is ice free. High alpine lakes, such as Fielding and Tangle Lakes, are partially open. * Rivers throughout the drainage remain high and muddy because warm weather continues to melt snow at upper elevations. Minto Flats is flooded to the point that channels and lakes blend together. * Most river boat launches are ice free, though some may still be soft and muddy. The George Lake boat launch on the Tanana River was scoured by breakup and has a steep drop-off at the end of the launch.
