Salmonfest
📍 KP Fair campground, Kenai Peninsula, Alaska
About this event
The Kenai Peninsula Fairgrounds provides camping and RV parking for Salmonfest attendees, located across the street from the festival grounds. Camping passes cover up to four nights, with access beginning at 6:00 PM on the Thursday before the festival and a mandatory departure time of 12:00 PM on the following Monday. All sales are final, and the fairgrounds reserve the right to refuse service.
Camping is divided into specific lots with distinct rules. Lots A and B are designated for RVs and trailers only, with no tents allowed; sites are approximately 12' x 30'. An upper lot on Julia Steik Road is available for smaller campers under 22 feet and tent camping. Tent sites are approximately 15' x 15'. Each site is limited to one vehicle, and no guest parking is permitted.
General guidelines include strict waste management policies, leash requirements for pets, and prohibitions on fireworks, firearms, and lasers. Campfires are only permitted with authorization from the lead camping attendant and must be in raised, off-the-ground pits, provided no burn bans are in effect. Christie Bond-Hill serves as the Camping and Day Use Parking Lead and can be contacted for inquiries.
