Central District Drift Gillnet Fishery Restriction Begins

Central District drift gillnet fleet is restricted to Drift Gillnet Areas 3 and 4, open Mondays and Thursdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. until further notice. The restriction is triggered by consecutive periods of sockeye harvest below one percent of the season total and is intended as a conservation measure to protect salmon runs.
