Anchorage Assembly Public Hearing on Mulligan's Alcohol Special Land Use Permit
📍 Anchorage Assembly Chambers, Anchorage, Alaska
About this event
The Anchorage Planning Department has issued a staff analysis recommending the approval of an alcohol special land use permit for Mulligan’s, LLC, doing business as Mulligan’s. The applicant seeks to add a sporting activity or event alcohol license (number 60762) to their existing golf simulator business located at 9191 Old Seward Highway, Suites 10, 11, and 12. The site is zoned B-3 (general business) and is designated as a "Regional Commercial Center" in the Anchorage 2040 Land Use Plan.
Planning staff concluded that the proposal meets all required approval criteria under Anchorage Municipal Code (AMC) 21.03.040 and 21.03.080D. The department noted that the addition of alcohol sales would not alter the character of the surrounding commercial area, and no objections were received from the public or municipal agencies, including the Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility (AWWU) and the Municipal Traffic Engineering Department.
If approved by the Anchorage Assembly, the permit includes several conditions, such as the requirement to file a notice of zoning action with the State of Alaska Recorder’s Office within 120 days. The permit covers approximately 3,813 square feet of gross floor area and allows for the on-premises sale of alcoholic beverages seven days a week, subject to state and local regulations.
