DOT&PF opens public comment on Northway Road rehab June 30

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities will hold a public meeting June 30 on plans to rehabilitate the first 3.5 miles of Northway Road, the spur that connects this Athabascan village to the Alaska Highway.

The meeting runs from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Northway Community Center, 183 Circle Drive, Northway. Residents can ask questions and submit comments on the proposed work between Milepost 0 and Milepost 3.5.

Northway sits in Interior Alaska, roughly 42 miles southeast of Tok. Residents depend on the spur road for access to regional goods and services.
