BBNC schedules shareholder picnic and seven informational meetings before October annual meeting

Bristol Bay Native Corporation will hold its annual shareholder meeting October 3 in Naknek, where shareholders will elect four directors to three-year terms on the corporation's 12-member board.

Before that vote, BBNC has scheduled shareholder events across eight locations between August 8 and September 19. The first stop is a shareholder picnic August 8 at the Arctic Rec Center Ball Fields in Anchorage, held in celebration of Alaska Wild Salmon Day. Eight shareholder informational meetings follow in Kenai, Dillingham, Chignik Bay, Togiak, Kokhanok, Anchorage, New Stuyahok, and Portland, Oregon.

The annual meeting begins at 10 a.m. at the Bristol Bay Borough School. Registration runs from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. In-person paper ballots must be submitted by noon. Online ballots on meeting day can be cast between 8 a.m. and noon. Shareholders can also vote at bbncvote.net before the September 30 proxy deadline at 5 p.m.

Shareholders who submit a completed proxy by September 9 at 5 p.m. qualify for early-bird prizes.

BBNC is the Alaska Native regional corporation established under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act to represent Bristol Bay region Natives. The corporation holds roughly 3 million acres in southwest Alaska.
