Alaska DOT&PF seeks construction administrator for Nunam Iqua airport project

Alaska DOT&PF Northern Region is seeking a professional construction administration contractor for Nunam Iqua Airport, with proposals due July 20 and an estimated contract value between $2 million and $4.99 million.

For Nunam Iqua, a Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta community with no road connection to regional centers, the airport is the year-round link to medical care, mail, and essential goods. This RFP covers professional construction administration and inspection services only. Any direct change for Nunam Iqua residents depends on later, separate construction contracts and funding.

The solicitation, RFP #25271001, became available June 26. The performance period runs from August 2026 through December 2029. Work covers complete field and office support for construction administration, on-site inspection, contract compliance, and project closeout.

The Nunam Iqua Airport Improvements project is one of several rural airport capital projects the department is advancing through its Northern Region. DOT&PF oversees operations at 237 airports across the state and uses multi-year professional services agreements to provide construction oversight on active projects.
